PROFILE
With a Master's degree in Instructional Technology and Design and high-level experience as an e-learning Consultant, Waleed is ideally suited to this key role in the organisation. Two aspects are crucial to the successful delivery of online education: a thorough knowledge of the relevant IT tools, and experience in their deployment. Waleed has both.

His academic training has provided him with a solid grounding in the use of the technologies that serve as vital platforms for the deployment of online content-Learning Management Systems, also known as LMS. These programs provide the backbone to manage and organise online learning, and Waleed has expertise and experience with all the major players in this area, including Moodle, Blackboard and WebCT.

Prior to joining the GAC Group, Waleed worked with various organisations in enhancing their online presence and/or developing their e-learning capabilities. For example, in 2004 he headed the design and implementation of curricula for a Virginia-based research think tank. More recently he participated in the design, management and implementation an e-learning system for Ajman University, the largest and oldest private university in the UAE.
