PROFILE
John Tansey, Country Manager for UPS (U.A.E.) LLC in the United Arab Emirates has nearly 20 years experience in operations, sales and business development within the transportation industry, ten of these with UPS. He is responsible for developing UPSs growing presence in the emerging market of the UAE.
Prior to accepting his current position in October 1996, Tansey has had vast experience in a variety of roles in the transportation sector, mainly in GCC dominated environments. Tansey’s particular focus and experience has been on developing markets where he provided expertise on new startup opportunities and product diversification. In addition, Tansey in his current role has been instrumental in spurring on the growth of UPS across the GCC countries.
Tansey, who hails from Auckland, New Zealand, left his native country in 1984 and has worked in the transportation industry since then, spending a large portion of his time in the Middle East.
