PROFILE
Jan Farnelid was appointed Group Vice President, Human Resources in August 2004. Since joining the organisation in 1993, Jan has held various managerial positions, including Managing Director for GAC Kuwait and GAC India. 


In his current position he has overall responsibility for driving the HR policies and practices across the GAC Group, as well as examining and reviewing ways in which these support the implementation of the Group's globalisation strategy, which was launched in 2003. He also analyses and identifies staff motivational needs from various aspects including appraisals and career development.

 

Jan's appointment as the Group Vice President Human Resources is in direct response to the Group's Vision X – Global Reach Strategy, and underlies the importance of GACs focus on human capital as a key enabler of our ambitious strategy.

 

Due to the expansion of the Group, a key priority for Jan is growing the talent base within the GAC Group, and also recruiting new talent into the company – targeting those with personalities consistent with the GAC Spirit, our unique corporate culture.
