PROFILE

Heather was born in the UK and upon leaving school joined a large tractor manufacturer in her hometown as a trainee which included college training. Eventually Heather found the role she loved the most in HR. The attraction was being able to meet, communicate and help fellow employees.

After 9 years there the company closed down and Heather decided to emigrate Australia. She spent the next 5 years in Sydney in various roles including Personnel Assistant to an MD for an International freight company and also a HR role.

Heather then felt the tug of home and moved back to the UK. Heather decided to study part-time for a Teachers Certificate whilst working for a healthcare consultancy business. She was given the role to design and maintain the company document standards and train staff in their use as well attending marketing events and organising staff socials.

She then met up again with Peter Orange (whom she had worked with in Australia). They married, started a family and moved to Dubai when Peter joined GAC. Once settled there Heather worked part time for Australian Business in the Gulf Group as Administrator and Events Coordinator. Again it gave Heather the opportunity to interact with people and meet some fascinating guest speakers.

The family then moved to with GAC to Malaysia for 3 years and from there on to Singapore. Heather says she has been very lucky to live in such interesting cities and meet people from all over the world. Working as a GCA Facilitator Heather hopes to continue to meet and help many more interesting people through e-learning.
