Sea Freight Operations (SFO) is designed to give a full understanding of the sea freight forwarding business within the GAC World. The course will explore the ‘must-knows’ of sea freight forwarding operations across the GAC World, and how efficient and commercially-viable operations contribute to our bottom line.
As operations are the backbone of our business, we must know how they contribute to the bottom line of GAC. Profits are generated by selling at the right price, whilst profit margins can be increased by operating in a smart and efficient way. A unique aspect of this course is the special focus on consolidation techniques that generate profitable outcomes.

How this course will be taught
The GLO course runs for eight weeks and is delivered via our state-of-the-art interactive online Learning Management System.
This 8 week course has been remarkable for me. I’ve learned a lot of things especially how handle challenges and hurdles of GLO. L&D forecast together with Leave planner will surely avoid conflicts in the schedule of participants. In addition, acquiring participants is one of our challenges here in Saudi Arabia. Nevertheless, with the strategies that I’ve learned in marketing the courses are indeed can help to get the interest of our staff to participate. John Michael Riboroso, GAC Saudi Arabia
With all the support from the Management I’m positive that my role as a GLO can now be carried out very effectively which in turn will help build knowledge within our business area and at the same time promote GCA as a concrete learning platform. Mary Fernandez , NSGAC Abu Dhabi
Even though the team participated in this GLO session was entirely different from my initial course with GCA in 2007, the interaction has greatly helped to refresh my memory and commitments. I’ve now realised that GLO could do a lot more, much better. With close co-ordination and better interaction with staff / managers / GCA, I now feel that overall much more effectively a GLO can involve in the learning and development process. Ramachandran Nair, GCA Oman
Before the course could start, I was already the GLO for GAC HQ, but I was not very sure about what my role was and my responsibilities as a GLO. After I started the GLO course my knowledge crossed all boundaries, each and every day I got to know so much about what a GLO actually had to do. I realized how important my role was as a GLO I realized that there were so many of my colleagues who were sailing in the same boat as mine ….. I enjoyed each and every week of the course… Anita D’Souza, GAC HQ Who to contact:
