Safety – all the way

From the oil fields to distribution of refined products, safety and environmental considerations are vital. Recent incidents at refineries, tank farms and offshore, as well as together with tanker groundings and collisions, have highlighted the wide-ranging impact of accidents on a company’s reputation and revenues. Despite new measures, the transit of an oil tanker within restricted water poses the same threat as it ever has – perhaps more when profit margins are squeezed. Ensuring that safety standards are maintained is the responsibility of everyone involved in the transportation of oil.
