Profile

Ramachandran joined GAC Oman in 2001 after spending the previous five years with John Laing International Ltd, also based in Muscat, Oman.

His initial GAC appointment was as Executive Secretary/QA and Management Representative. This role involved maintaining and updating the Quality Management System of GAC Oman and two associated companies.

In 2006, Ramachandran was appointed Manager, Quality Development. This newly created department is responsible for GAC's management system tools such as GAC Time (TQM) and QMS. A major achievement of the department has been the design and launch of a dedicated database of all QMS-related activities within GAC Oman, which has helped make the system accessible to all members of the organisation.

Ramachandran's role with GAC Oman also includes the responsibilities of Personal Assistant to the General Manager and managing the day-to-day operation of the GM's office. He has also been appointed as a GCA Liaison Officer, helping to coordinate the learning activities for GAC personnel in Oman.

Ramachandran's educational achievements include a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from the University of Calicut, with majors in History and Economics, and hold a diploma in librarianship course from the same institution. He is currently planning to undertake a diploma in Journalism.

Ramachandran enjoys spending his free time writing articles and is a regular contributor to magazines and newspapers published in Muscat. Reading, travelling and listening to music are other keen interests.

Ramachandran looks forward to the opportunity of joining the high profile team involved with GCA.
