Profile

Ann is an independent principal consultant. She first moved into consultancy when she joined Bywater in 1988 from ICL where she had held a number of jobs including running a Customer Service organisation, management training, installing main frame computers and finally project managing a range of business excellence and quality improvement programs. At Bywater Ann was a project manager for key clients before taking a two-year secondment in 1990 to work for KPMG in Canada helping them set up part of their management consulting practice. She then returned to the UK in 1992 as Operations Manager, with overall accountability for the consultant group, as well as products such as the Optimus benchmarking tool. She became one of Bywater’s senior managers and service line manager accountable for all Business Excellence Model and self-assessment programmes. Ann was also Bywater’s acknowledged expert in the areas of culture change, performance management, organisational development, leadership programmes and people issues. Her work in the UK spanned a range of industries including Government, Banking, Energy and Telecommunications.

Ann then worked in the Middle East for three years on various assignments across the region before becoming a freelance consultant. During this time she has worked with a number of key clients such as the Jumeirah Group, UPS, Global Village and Dubailand as well as running various training events for Dubai Health Care City, Dubai Ports and Customs, Bahrain GOYS and Emirates Airlines Ann attended the University of York where she gained a BA in Maths & Education and a Diploma of Education (Dip. Ed)

Her management training background, practical experience, cross industry and cultures in- sights make her an ideal facilitator for the Process Analysis and Design course. Ann is English but has been based in Dubai for the last 6 years from where she loves to travel, sit on the beach, read and do crosswords and sudoku
