Profile

Annalie graduated from the University of Guildford in 1999 with an Honours degree in Science and Management of Exercise and Health. After working in industry for a year, she felt drawn to a career specializing in Human Resources and decided to obtain further academic expertise in this area. She completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Personnel Management in 2003 and subsequently gained Chartered Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).

Annalie's GAC career began in November 2005 when Benair was acquired by GAC. Starting as Human Resources Manager, her role soon expanded and she is currently responsible for HR, payroll and training for six offices and 120 employees. From the outset in this role, Annalie became aware of the ongoing need for staff training, and, therefore, established a relationship with an external training provider. The subsequent establishment of GCA not only negated the need for third party providers, but allowed more focused and relevant training for the personnel for whom Annalie was responsible.

Annalie is acutely aware of the ever-increasing competitiveness of employee retention, and, to this end, intends to make GAC Logistics (UK) an employer of choice by improving the benefits offered, including the opportunity for all personnel to participate in an excellent range of in-house training and development courses. In her role as the GCA Liaison Officer (GLO) for the UK, Annalie hopes to realise this goal.

Apart from the GLO training course, Annalie has also undertaken Introduction to GAC World, GLO Masterclass, Personal and Professional Development, Vision Y Strategy Development and is currently participating in Business Communication in the Information Age. Her own positive experiences have made Annalie enthusiastic about the opportunities that the Academy presents to all personnel, and as both a GLO and Course Facilitator she hopes to encourage and assist others to embark on their own learning journeys.
